TCM Gear Ratio Fix

TCM Gear Ratio Fix

Transmission Control Module (TCM)

Give every vehicle the transmission it deserves.

Transmission Control Module (TCM) is a lightweight standalone FiveM resource that replaces GTA V's default gear ratios with properly tuned transmission ratios for every gearbox from 2-speed through 12-speed vehicles.

Rockstar's default transmission ratios,  especially for vehicles with 7 or more gears often producing unrealistic acceleration and reduced speed in higher gears. TCM corrects these issues by applying optimized gear ratios that deliver smoother acceleration, improved drivability, and more realistic shifting across the entire vehicle lineup.

 Features

  • ✅ Standalone resource with no framework required

  • ✅ Supports vehicles with 2–12 forward gears

  • ✅ Automatically applies optimized gear ratios while driving

  • ✅ Fixes Rockstar's incorrect 7–12 speed transmission ratios

  • ✅ Improved acceleration and power delivery

  • ✅ Better off-the-line performance

  • ✅ Easy-to-edit configuration

  • ✅ Compatible with custom power and torque resources

  • ✅ Lightweight client-side script with minimal performance impact

⚙️ Built for Compatibility

TCM was designed to work alongside realistic handling and power modifications.

If you're running a custom engine or power resource, simply specify it as a dependency so Transmission Control Module applies its gear ratios after horsepower and torque calculations have been completed, ensuring the transmission behaves exactly as intended.
